The good: Excellent communication by the host and very fast to resolves any matters (WiFi issues was resolved very quickly).

Excellent communication by the host and very fast to resolves any matters (WiFi issues was resolved very quickly). Lots of parking available. A very easy 5 minute walk to a lovely beach.
The bad:
The apartment doesn’t look like the pictures, lots of damages, wear and tear, stains on curtains, bedding, towels etc. Didn’t seem very well cleaned on arrival although it smelled good. Old rusty fittings throughout the bathroom and unable to open bathroom door fully unless you open the door under the basin first. Cracks in the main door and a very loose lock, it didn’t feel safe in the slightest (could easily pop open with a crowbar). Flood lights positioned so poorly that even in the early hours of the morning it was like full daylight coming through the window. Worst of all the upstairs noise. From early evening to gone midnight every night it sounded like the upstairs tenants were doing acrobatics. The noise level coming through the ceiling was atrocious.

The place was in a terrible neighborhood. The photos don’t even come close to what they show. It was dirty and was on ground floor when they told me it’s the 2nd floor.
People in the streets playing loud music and getting drunk.
I walked in and was shocked and scared being a single woman. I put my luggage back in my can and got out of there as soon as possible. I totally felt duped and asked for my money back considering I didn’t stay there for one night.
I have always gone through VRBO. This was my first time with Airbnb and it will be my last.
