Mahogany Tropical Oasis Studio with Pool

This property has potential, but unfortunately the management and maintenance were disappointing. The room had multiple cockroaches during our stay — I personally killed more than four. The property also lacked upkeep, with leaves scattered everywhere outside. Because of the rain, the wet leaves became slippery and unsafe to walk on. There was also a lot of confusion regarding checkout time. The Airbnb listing stated checkout was at 11 a.m., but the confirmation later said 10 a.m. Their own website instructions again said 11 a.m., with a $25 fee for noon checkout if requested 24 hours in advance. The night before checkout, I received a message saying checkout was actually 10 a.m. When I pointed out the conflicting information, I was offered an 11 a.m. checkout for $50. After I sent a screenshot of their own policy showing noon checkout for $25, they agreed to honor that instead. I ended up leaving early anyway. Would not stay here again.

So this was the second time we stayed there but it was not the same as the first and it will be the last time. The garden green wall, and pool are beautiful and the rooms are clean. The host is responsive. I won’t get into all of the problems we had because some of them could just have been bad luck by the hosts. Ultimately though there are 7 unit at this location and it’s clear they cannot be managed remotely. There are just too many guest with too many issue. It has to be actively managed in person at least part of the day. All of the issues we and other guests dealt with are easily handled by someone onsite just like at a regular hotel/motel. You can’t just list 7 units with nobody there to problem solve or notice a lot of minor issue that add up to an overall bad experience. This place just has so much potential if managed well.

Positive: It’s very quiet, until no ones party at night, I stay 3 nights and the first one there it’s a party and the people knock my door pretty hard at 3 am, but everything be sides that was great! The admin of the property fix everything well! Negative: They don’t clean the room

This stay was one of the worst I ever had at Airbnb. From the time I walked on the property.. it was multiple “suites” into one address and also the ceiling were very low down.. I had to duck to enter and exit the property and even had dirty sheets.. I have the photos and everything and even called Airbnb for a refund and to leave and they told me this place is non refundable.. it’s definitely not worth your stay or your money! Don’t book!

Great stay, cons needs more towels being that there’s a pool. Room smelled a lil like mildew but I let it air out and it immediately went away. Other than that the room is nice & very private.
