Rustic Retreats Beachy 1BR in Fort Lauderdale

so, I paid more than 6,000 dolar staying in this place! they really response very fast! however when I was there there were a couple things that I want to mention. firt: it is the bed, it's really bad, and makes a lot of noise in every move you make. Second: there was cockroac. third: There were parts of the wall that were falling down little by little. fourth:I tried to go to the pool once, and I saw that it was literally disgusting; there were a lot of leaves, but there was also a lot of animal poop—the pool was literally disgusting. fifth: Security was actually one of my biggest concerns! One day, my husband and I were in the pool area when another person entered carrying a portable speaker; they were playing music very softly (it wasn't bothering anyone), and it was already 10:00 PM. Suddenly, from outside the fenced-off area, a woman started shouting at them to turn it off. She then entered the property and the pool area itself and nearly physically attacked us! and more things.

Host is very responsive and gave us extra linens when asked. The place is pretty clean and nice. Awkward location but there’s a few places in walking distance and Ubers to beach/restaurants were usually cheap.

Great spot to stay for a weekend or extended stay. I was there for 3 weeks for work and had no complaints!

Paid way to much hade to pay extra fee for damage deposit also it was close to the beach as stated not walking distance anyway

The location was not my favorite, most of the pictures were from other parts of Fort Lauderdale. I was given the wrong chrck in code. The place reeked of moisture most nights. Would not recommend

Walking into the apartment - it felt like an apartment-

The day I checked-in Dec 10th I immediately told the stay/host that the apartment was filled with bugs flying all over the place, the host that they’ll have a company come in to spray for me that never happened I spent 4 days there! So I went out and bought some bugs/flying insect sprays and some of them died, some flies even got in my food. The kitchen was dirty it had grease under the microwave and the vent, the to go coffee cups had roach remains in them like wings dropping etc even though the cups were covered. The bed in bedroom was squeaking the mattress and the bed frame was not secure at all it moved as I moved then it squeaks every time I moved. I communicated all of that with host and he/ she was inconsiderate in regard to my concerns and gave no alternatives nor solutions. This was an Airbnb from HELL! I demand my $ back. I came for a world forum and couldn’t cancel since there were a lot of representatives in town and almost all of the hotels were booked.

Always my favorite place to stay, quiet during the day just what I need because I work overnights
